Thrilled to announce that my unpublished historical romance manuscript Lady Charlotte's Lamp, was the 2025 winner of the Caleb Awards for unpublished adult fiction manuscripts. Very thankful to God, it's been a big year for Lady Charlotte's Lamp, which also finaled in the Genesis Contest!
Lady Charlotte's Lamp is an unpublished historical romance manuscript set in 1875 New York. Nurse probationer Lady Charlotte Greggory reluctantly partners with the man whose job she took, Andrew James, to recover a rare Bible stolen from the hospital charity fund. Their search takes them from the slums of New York to its finest drawing rooms, as they each grapple with their pasts, their present, and the possibility of a future together.
The CALEB Award is a Christian writers' award run by Omega Writers, the premier body for Australian Christian Writers. It supports excellence by recognising and rewarding great Christian-worldview writing. https://omegawriters.com.au/caleb-award/

The wait is over! Now I can share manuscript details! My unpublished historical romance manuscript Lady Charlotte's Lamp has been named a finalist in the American Christian Fiction Writers Genesis contest for unpublished manuscripts in the historical romance category.
Very exciting news! This is the fifth or sixth time I have entered the Genesis Contest, with different fiction manuscripts. The feedback from previous years has been very helpful, and I look forward to reviewing the feedback and strengthening Lady Charlotte's Lamp further.

Excited to announce my latest work-in-progress is a finalist in the Caleb Awards for unpublished manuscripts in the adult fiction category.
And yes, sorry, I can't say anything more about the manuscript. Just have to wait until October when the winners are announced.

Excited to announce my latest work-in-progress is a semifinalist in the American Christian Fiction Writers Genesis contest for unpublished manuscripts in the historical romance category.
But that's all I can say. Until finalists are announced in September, I can't talk about the manuscript. No, not even the title or characters or plot points... We just have to wait.
